How can anyone who is upset with the current economy vote for a democrat right now? Do people not look into things more than what they are told by pundints?
For those democrats that want to blame republicans on this financial mess, I BEG you to read this:
Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae were the first domino to topple. Freddie and Fannie were corrupt, and wrote the bad loans that were sold to the banks. Freddie and Fannies executives milked every dollar of profit from the books, and gave them out to themselves as bonuses, leaving as little as $3 on the books. The banks failed because of the bad loans, which started tanking the stock market, because there was less money to loan in the banks.
Now, let me show you something, you probably will not read, because you obviously love to hate Bush.

Now, lets talk about where Obama fits into all this. First, lets mention that Obama received over 100k from freddie and fannie in campaign donations, so he had no interest in tying their hands:http://www.opensecrets.org/news/2008/07/…
But it goes farther back than that. Lets go to acorn. Acorn is where it all began, with their pilot program with subprime loans. Obama worked for acorn, and trained people.
How many uninformed people are there in this country, who have no idea what is going on?
Only if they DO want to make the US a socialist welfare state and toss the Constitution into the Potomac.
But the vast majority of Democrat voters only know that it was Bush’s / Republican economic policies that were to blame (which ones? how did they cause it? they don’t know) and that it was deregulation (what deregulation, of what industry, specifically what legislation? they don’t know) that let it happen. After all, deregulation is evil and for greedy people, dontchaknow.
That’s about all they know. That’s all they were told by Obama and the media.
Some of the more enterprising ones will cite a deregulation law that had absolutely nothing to do with the problems the economy is having, because any deregulation is just wrong, after all.
This is the reason why the founding fathers only let landowners (the patrician families of their day) be able to vote. They understood from the examples of Athens and Rome what disasters happened to functioning free societies when the uneducated dumb masses were given the power to elect the governments.
I’ll be voting for Obama because of the economy.

McCain does not have a plan and when he has he has constantly changed it. He has been all over the map on economic platforms…. he is erratic and he tends to panic (calling for firings when he does not even have the authority of that position). McCain is completely out of his depth when it comes to the economy and he has had terrible advisers in this time.
Get over yourself. There is enough blame to go around, not just Democrats. Republicans can share some of that blame too. In addition to lenders, borrowers, etc.
No but too many refuse to really understand what has happened to the economy and would rather blame someone they simply don’t like..

McCain has never initiated for earmarks and has a solid record of voting against them. As president, he has promised to veto any and all earmarks and pork spending that come across his desk.
If this simple policy doesn’t get the democrats’ attention, I’m sure the complex economic collapse won’t either.
I wouldn’t call them “uninformed”. I think the proper term would be “misinformed”.
Most people are nothing but sheep and follow who ever they are told to follow by their families, friends, neighbors, or stranger on the street. They don’t actually research teh issue, but just goes by what they see in the TV commercials and the emails that get forwarded to them.
I don’t support Obama (and not too fond of McCain either). When I get the emails from my parents full of mud slinging about Obama, I can usually find something that actually tells the truth and send them the link for it so they can read about it themselves.

my viewpoint is that too many people of our great country are so damned tired from holding two and three jobs that they do not have the energy to look into the affairs and goings on in politics that are ruining their very right to gain via the fruits of their labors. that was a granted by the founding fathers of this country. that is why the united states has attracted more immigrants than has any other country on the face of this planet. he who allows those citizens to gain from their labors is he who will be adored by the people.
THE REASON WHY YOU WORK YOURSELVES INTO THE GROUND BEFORE YOUR TIME AND YOU CANNOT SPEND QUALITY TIME WITH OUR CHILDREN is that you refuse to strike about one day a month, in demand that our companies, those that you work for, get real with wages.
just whose country is this? today, the orientals bought up 10-15% of morgan stanley, which was once paulson’s baby. where do they get that money? where do they get the money to drill for oil on the continental shelf that is so close to the united states, namely, off of cuba? where have they found the money to buy up real estate in our country for $0.60 on the dollar and falling?

and, are you too asleep to find out that The One has 400 advisors!!! who needs 400 advisors? and don’t you know already that two of the most corrupt officials ever appointed to head up FANNIE MAE–namely franklin raines and his criminal counterpoint, JIM JOHNSON–sit on The One’s advisory board and committee for the economy? don’t you know how they cooked the books and manipulated the “stock” of the congress mandated company known as FANNIE MAE, that huge organization that fuels, with investor dollars (yeah, you can buy a part of fannie mae, should it still exist after the election…), the banks to make mortgages to you, you who have worked your knuckles to the bones to even buy a home? FANNIE MAE and FREDDIE MAC (not a big player in this fraud and crime to us) buy up portfolios of mortgages at a discount in order that their investors receive a return on their investment.
but, know this: when franklin raines was appointed to head up FANNIE MAE by president bill clinton–He, the One that Walks with a Halo and plays the saxophone on Jay Leno’s show–his first business was to raise the value of the “stock” from about $3.23 per share up to around $6.34 a share, and he got it done.
now then, what happened as a result of that? he, jim johnson, and ms. ? gorelick gave themselves tens of millions of dollars in benefits above and beyond their six figure annual incomes for so many years that it led to an investigation of FANNIE MAE at the time that the enron scandal reared its ugly head. but that they, the criminals, did everything that they could do to shut the investigators up, namely, they manipulated our own government to investate the investigators!
do you not realize that you and i ARE the government! and we also are, per the us supreme court’s recent ruling based only on the constitution, that shining document that makes our streets paved with the gold of liberty and justice for all, the MILITIA of our country!

That would be insane, but so is voting for McCain.
Both are spenders, and will not address the economy in a way helpful for individual Americans.
We should have gotten Ron Paul as GOP nominee, but now we just have to vote 3rd party to reject Obama and McCain, and concentrate on other races.

How could the atrocities perpetrated by these top Democrats collapsing the U.S. financial markets actually help Obama regain the lead?
It’s gonna be difficult to get anyone to care about the facts when they don’t fit the paradigm of it all being Bush’s fault, and that McCain is a clone of Bush.
The Truth is pretty complicated. Some of the people that caused it knew what was going to happen, some actually thought that requiring banks to lend money to borrowers that couldn’t afford the payments was “justice”, and some were just plain too stupid to understand what they were doing. Sorting out which is which requires analysis and judgment.
It’s more simple to just believe that one man caused it all, and that he’s Evil Incarnate. This relieves us of needing to know any facts.
After the Republicans owned congress from 1994 to 2007 and still have half the votes in the senate, and after 8 years of Bush disasters, its time to change the game.
Mc Same wrote the deregulation bill (his only “accomplishment’ in 27 years) in 1999 and rammed it down the republican congress throat.
Clinton was in impeachment at that time for having some fun.
